Piggy & Kermit Medical Expenses

Our  rescue group received a message about three loose terriers hanging around in a wooded area next to some busy train tracks. When our team got there that same day, there were only two left, one had been run over by a car earlier in the week. Both very skittish so we quickly set a trap. The male was successfully trapped that same day. The female was a challenge, she defeated 5 different types of traps. 18 days later, she gave up and surrendered herself. No trap or leash needed. She was desperate for help.  After a thorough vet visit, it was determined that Piggy suffers from heartworm and needs X rays to determine if there is pellet outside her rib cage area. Kermit is healthy but still very scared. He is ready for his new home. Piggy still needs a family but we want to provide the medical care she needs.
