Piatt Memorial

Donation protected
I married a very remarkable man back in 1990.  James Piatt took on a premade family and worked his backside off to make sure we never wanted or needed anything.  After 28 years he became sick in March of 2017.  They located a mass in his kidney it was cancerous and  had to be removed.  So he had his kidney removed in June of 2017.  In December of 2017 we were informed that the cancer had moved to his lungs.  After numerous biopsies, specialists, tests, x-rays  and more - the oncologist informed us that there was no sign of the cancer in his lungs.

In August of 2018 he began falling - and falling a lot sent him to the emergency room to be told he had 3 lesions in his brain.  Transferred him to Georgetown where he underwent immediate surgery and the surgeon was able to remove 2 of the masses.  They tried cyberknife radiation but I was informed they were treating 4 masses (the 2 spaces where the surgeon removed masses & 2 others). While receiving this treatment he had a brain hemorrhage /mini stroke.  My husband decided he had enough and when released from the hospital he went into hospice care.  As I sit here waiting for the end I am overcome with what next.  We have talked about our deaths and what we wanted and did not want.  My husband does not want the hoopla of a funeral - he believes they are to expensive and cause more turmoil in families (especially ours).  If you have read all this or if you know Piatt personally none of this is surprising or new.

His 1 request is that I have a bench constructed for our family plots at Meadowridge.  Thus is my reason for opening this acct.  if it is in your heart or you are able to help with this expense it will be greatly appreciated. No donation would be to small or please consider sharing if you can not help financially.

I want to honor my husband with his last request a memorial bench to honor our family.
