Women's March on Washington Puppet

Donation protected
We are three sisters and a cousin, scattered across the South hoping to meet in Washington, DC to build a Phoenix rising from the ashes.

The Puppet will have a wingspan of 9ft x a body of 8ft with a  rainbow plumage tail made from feather boas. We have been reasearching how to make the bird and drawing from many resources including http://puppetco-op.org/.

Men who march in soladirty will be invited to carry the flames beneath the wings.

We want to  build something beautiful and symbolic.

Also, did you know that there was a 1913 Womens March on Washington? There will be a replication of the banner below from that very march. We want to send out a message of resillence, strength, and positivity.

Here is what your contribution will go to:
$300 - Fabric, Dowels, Wire, Chicken Wire, Spraypaint, Paper Mache, Boas, Marching Flag Pole Holders, Bubble Guns, Felt Letters, etc.

Please consider contributing to this project if you are unable to attend or are hoping to see some beauty against all of the anger.

Help this Phoenix rise from the ashes!

Also, if you contribute and would like to meet up at the parade please email: [email redacted]
