Philly Kitty Crew Care (stray cats)

My name is Kate. I live in Philadelphia, PA and for one and a half years I have taken on the care of a colony of feral stray cats. I call them Kitty Crew; they consist of Captain Creamsicle Wilson (m), Charcoal Gamork (m), Caramel Bob (m) and Sweetie Pie Kitten (f). Captain and Charcoal have been the longest members since the fall 2014 when I began to feed them. Sweetie Pie kitten is the newest to join the crew. Three of them are nutered / spayed thanks to TNR programs & grants but Captain (pictured below facing the camera, Caramel is the one eating) has managed to evade the Have a Heart traps.
I've gained the trust of these cats little by little to the point that they will sometimes wander into my home and eat inside when it's raining or very windy / cold. Though with our own pet cat who lives indoors (a former stray we adopted, not a part of the crew) it's harder to do now since our cat tries to go outside with the crew.
After GoFundMe takes their small cut here is the break down...
TOTAL DONATED: $151.76 (this includes a $20 cash donaiton) + $59.16 (Amazon gift card balance from 2 out of the 4 heated water bowls refund) = $202.01
TOTAL SPENT:
- $45.40 (outdoor heating pad)
- $10 (straw for inside shelters, preheating pad, still used in 2 of the 3, donated rest to Feline Crusaders)
- $23.29 (third 54 gallon storage bin for shelter)
- $77.25 (outdoor heating pad, power strip, weather proof box to protect power strip)
- $30.19 AMAZON GIFT CARD (2 varieties of 9 Lives canned food & tape worm pills)
REMAINDER SPENDING BALANCE: $29.63

I continue to upgrade Kitty City (the area I use for their winter sheltering and feeding) and care for the Crew. I have 3 shelters. I'm currently working on insulating them and now have 2 heated beds, 1 still with straw (which stinks and is a pain to clean up). I also try to update often about where money is spent, other spending plans & any donations that are received in kind from the Amazon WishList.
It's not just about the shelters, but about the full quality of life for Kitty Crew. I'd love to get them to the vet again, buy some de-worming and other medicines that can be hidden in food, create an outdoor litter area to avoid them pooping everywhere in our garden and more. I make sure any and every bit of the funds raised goes back into the best possible care for these cats. Check for regular updates on where funds are spent, what is needed and general stories about the kitties.
Please consider helping me out because I'm not sure how else I can afford it! I contribute my own funding as well as donations because I'll do anything to keep these kitties happy, healthy & safe. Sadly, 2 females have died since the start of caring for the Kitty Crew (RIP Butterscotch and Licorice) which is never easy but the way it goes for strays. :( I would love to bring these kitties inside but they just don't trust me THAT much and I'm pretty sure my family can't do 5 cats in the house!
