Help our friend Jess and her family!
Jess was mowing her yard and reached down to remove a vine and cut off 3 of her fingers on her dominant hand, thus disabling her from working or doing much of anything for at least 8 weeks. She has been living her awesome, healthy lifestyle on the island of Maui with her daughter Lucia and is in the process of getting certified for fostering and pre-adoption of another child. Since Jess is currently uninsured, she's facing medical costs of the ambulance ride, surgery, etc. totaling close to $50,000. Cost of living here on Maui is not cheap, and Jess does it all alone as a single mom. Her estimated monthly cost of living is around $3000. Besides not being able to bring in any income while she heals, she’ll be getting used to doing things now without normal mobility in her dominant hand - from daily tasks to her passion of surfing. Let’s help her financially, even if it’s just $5 a person, so that Jess can focus on healing without the stress of money.
