After 34 years of getting by on whatever prosthesis I can get, I can no longer get around! I am a below-knee amputee and my prosthesis doesn't fit. As if that isn't bad enough, my shoulders are shot so I can no longer use crutches and I don't have an alternative. At my age it's time to have a good prosthesis and a viable backup/alternative method of travel.
Update: I bought a scooter and paid off some of my bills! That's why the amount I need is so much lower now. To those of you who already contributed, thank you for helping me reach those goals!
Now, for the prosthesis (artificial foot), I would like to reach that goal by the March for Life in January. It won't be easy, but through God, all things are possible!
Here's the breakdown:
Prosthesis - $18,000
Basic Scooter - Purchased!
Car attachment No Need!
Medical bills - $2,400
Total - $20,400
I've always struggled when asking for help, but it is time. I can't' continue to do the things I do without your help.
Peter
