Pete Arnold, a beloved cornerstone of the Joshua Tree / Yucca Valley community, musician, event planner, plant medicine facilitator, and dear friend, needs our help.
As many of you know, when you're diagnosed with a serious or terminal illness like late stage cancer in this country, it's not easy to afford treatment. It's especially difficult when your illness gets in the way of you being able to work in order to make money in the first place.
Pete was recently diagnosed with prostate cancer and has been treating his disease as best as he could for a few months.
Some abrupt changes in Pete's treatment plan with his doctors has resulted in a sticky situation. Pete is struggling to find a way to pay rent and utilities this month while his healthcare costs mount.
Pete could lose his home he's cultivated with good vibes for the last 9 years, but I thought his friends and family might want to have a say in that outcome before it came to that.
I know there are people out there who would love to aid in making sure Pete doesn't lose his home and health. I know many of you would be honored to give a little aid now so that he can get through this rough patch and come out the other side stronger and happier, living a sustainable life with healthy food, a healthy home, and a healthy body.
Whatever help we give him now will most definitely come back to us in some form. Pete always offers a helping hand and a jovial chuckle, asking nothing in return, with his friends and complete strangers. He is growing his music studio so he can offer a healing space for the community to express itself, and he is growing other ways of gaining passive income so that he can focus on healing while at the same time creating projects that benefit Joshua Tree's residents and beyond.
A few hundred dollars is all he needs to make rent this month, and a few thousand will make sure the costs of him launching his passive income projects are covered.
Let's not let Pete fall through the cracks this month.
