PERRY’S 2nd CHANCE
Donation protected
Perry was pulled from ACCT Philly after being found as a stray. He’s a 2yo, 6 pound Yorkie that was shaking in the back of his kennel at the shelter. He had suffered injuries to his muzzle that had since become infected! Tiny Paws Rescue pulled him from the shelter and immediately took him to one of our vet partners. We were horrified to find that his muzzle had been tightly wired shut! The wiring had cut deeply into his skin all the way around his muzzle! On Friday, Perry had surgery. Some of his skin was already dead, that was then surgically removed, the remaining deep, open wounds were cleaned, debrided, then sutured closed. Perry also had complication during surgery. His neck and trachea had to be opened to clear his airway. What this poor baby has gone through so far in unimaginable!! Through everything he remains the sweetest little affectionate lap dog, who is just longing to be loved. He’s on antibiotics, heavy pain medication and his long recovery has just begun. He will have several more vet visits throughout his recovery. Between the surgery, unexpected complications and long recovery, we could use all the help we can get with his medical bills. Please consider donating to help us with Perry’s care.
