Penquis Youth Hockey Startup!

                       
                       Youth Hockey is returning to the Penquis Area!!!

 
The construction of the new Piscataquis County Ice Arena is nearing completion and a group of local volunteers is organizing a new youth hockey association. You may recall this area had a very successful youth hockey program from the 1970s through 2007. Kids from Dover-Foxcroft, Greenville, Dexter, Milo, Guilford, Monson, and Abbot all participated. Oh those January games at the Fairgrounds will not soon be forgotten…Brrrr! Now, thanks to the generosity of the Libra Foundation, we will have another opportunity for youth hockey in our area.  The program will serve children from all over the county once again.

 
We need your help to get the program started.  Ice time, gear, jerseys, and referees will all be needed. 

 
If you participated in the old Dover youth hockey, then it’s time to “Pony” up and pay it forward.  Let’s help the next generation skate into the future.

 
If you are a parent in the area, then you can appreciate the chance to have a healthy and fun activity for the kids, especially in the winter months when it’s hard to get them outside.
