Since our inception in 2010 Peninsula Productions has produced over 50 theatrical and musical events!
Moving forward our vision is to have a successful theatre company where young theatre artists are given the opportunity to work their craft and learn from seasoned artists.
For our 2018/19 season we have lots of exciting things planned. Including transforming our space into a black box theatre, continuing our ever popular Staged Reading Series and continuing to grow and support our NextGen program.
Most ambitious of all, we are planning to have a large multi-generational show in the summer of 2019 that will bring together our NextGen summer students, senior citizens from our community and professional artists.
We need your help to realize our goals!
Thank you to all of the wonderful and talented actors who have provided us with videos and letters of endorsement. You can check them out below!
I have been very fortunate to perform in 6 full productions and 2 staged play readings for this wonderful theatre company. For this, continuously, aspiring actor, Peninsula Productions has provided an environment where exploration, training, and growth could be realized: working with talented, experienced actors, a skilled production team (from administrators to set builders, designers to props masters)—so many passionate volunteers!!—and a director, Wendy Bollard, who challenged me with every project to become a better actor. (And this is a director who constantly strives to improve herown craft.)
I’ve been proud (and so very grateful) to have been, both, a part of bringing great theatre to our community and to the lower mainland (I wish I could share the amazing feedback from our audiences...as it came to us live and in-the-moment:); AND, to have been involved with a company that always endeavours to provide a thoughtful, organized, safe, professional, and creative environment for all...founded in respect..for self and for others. Cheers Peninsula Productions!! Keep on Going!
Peninsula Productions has been a vital part of my growth as an actor. They have provided a training ground as well as a home. I have had the privilege of working with them on five occassions and each experience has contributed to my craft and over all confidence. I feel incredibly lucky to have such a close relationship with this company.
I believe the strength of Peninsula lies in its dedication to storytelling. Their insistence on bold, challenging material is what makes them an exciting prospect in the world of community theatre. It is rare to find a company who will invest in such raw, provocative shows. Not only have they brought high calibre dramatic productions right into Surrey's backyard but they are fostering important dialogues in the community. Art should inspire discussion and they have given that discussion a forum. This is something to be commended, especially in times as divisive as these.
In addition to their shows, they have developed an incubator for fresh young talent. Their young artists program has inspired many adolescent performers to pursue their ambitions and give back to the community. Peninsula has offered these actors a home stage to develop their talents on and that alone is a great gift to the artistic future of South Surrey.
Peninsula has endeared itself to the community and stands to only grow stronger as it takes root in White Rock. They have accomplished a great deal for such a young company. I look forwards to a long future with them and I am hopeful they will find the patronage they so dearly deserve.

Here is a wonderful video that Metro Vancouver (one of our funders) made for our production of Sea of Stories
Back in 2017 we brought the Canadian Premiere of Belfast Girls by Jaki McCarrick to the lower mainland. We need your help to continue to bring performances like this to our community.
