Many of you will remember several years ago when I posted about my friend Debbie's son Jack.  Jack was a 6 year old boy with downs syndrome who had just been diagnosed with leukemia.  The outpouring of support was incredible for Jack and his family.  I am asking for each of you to consider supporting Jack again.

Jack is now an 11 year old boy battling his SECOND round of Leukemia.  Let that sink in for a moment. Can you even imagine if that were your child or your loved one?  We often get busy with life, work, chores, school, kids, activities, and sometimes something stops you in your tracks.  Just last week Debbie shared a picture of Jack and shared some information that stopped me in my tracks.

This is what she had to say:

"The photo on the left came up in my feed today. I was so taken aback and felt I should share with you what steroids looks like on an 11 year old. This medicine is saving his life . . . but at what cost? Only 4% of the Federal money allocated to researching cancer goes to pediatric cancer. Why? It's more rare and not a money maker. Jack should be at school and playing with his friends, not struggling to walk to the bathroom and spending his childhood years in the hospital. Don't wait to care until it's your child."

I reached out to Jack's mom Debbie to ask where she felt the best place to donate was and she suggested the Jimmy Fund/Dana-Farber Cancer Institute since they give 88% direct to patient care and research.

By donating you will be giving directly to Pediatric Cancer Research in honor of Jack Christianson.  All money received will go to the Jimmy Fund in Boston, Massachusetts.
