Nun sind Franziska Baumann und Alena Börs – Fritzy und Roxy (https://www.fritzyandroxy.com/ )– zurück in Europa und damit fast am Ende ihrer Weltreise auf dem Tandem angelangt. Doch eine besondere Etappe wartet noch: 450 km von Paris bis Brüssel in nur 4 Tagen!

Für diese Etappe haben sie PEDALING FOR ANGELS ins Leben gerufen, um gemeinsam mit FRIENDS OF ANGELS GERMANY Spenden für die Kinder mit schweren Krankheiten und Behinderungen in Kolumbien zu sammeln!
In Kolumbien werden pro Jahr mehr als 3.000 Kinder unter 18 Jahren von ihren Eltern verlassen. Im Jahr 2017, lag diese Zahl bei 3.254 Kindern, die meisten von ihnen (70%) wurden aufgrund der finanziellen Not ihrer Familien oder wegen ihrer schweren Krankheiten oder Behinderungen verlassen. Die Zahl der Kinder und Jugendlichen unter 18 Jahren mit einer oder mehrerer Behinderungen liegt bei über 161.500. Mehr als 80% von diesen Kindern haben keinen Zugang zu angemessener medizinischer Versorgung und Therapien, denn sie gehören den untersten Bevölkerungsschichten an und haben meist keine Krankenversicherung und leben in entlegenen Dörfern, in denen es keine Krankenhäuser gibt.
FUNDACIÓN PROYECTO UNIÓN ist ein Ort, der diese Kinder aufnimmt und ihnen ein neues, liebevolles Zuhause gibt.
Die soziale Nichtregierungsorganisation mit Sitz in Bogotá kümmert sich nun schon seit über 19 Jahren unermüdlich um die am schlimmsten von Armut, Krankheit und Vertreibung betroffenen Menschen in Kolumbien. Sie nimmt Kinder und Jugendliche mit multiplen geistigen und körperlichen Behinderungen auf, die von ihren leiblichen Eltern verlassen wurden oder deren Eltern nicht selbst für sie sorgen können. Zudem werden Kinder mit schwer behandelbaren Krankheiten und chronischen Erkrankungen aufgenommen und kostenlos behandelt.

Hace poco que Franziska Baumann y Alena Börs – Fritzy & Roxy (https://www.fritzyandroxy.com/ ) – regresaron a Europa y llegaron casi al final de su vuelta al mundo en su tandem. Ahora están listas para una etapa muy especial: 450 kilómetros de París a Bruselas en solo cuatro días!
Fritzy y Roxy en Bluff, Nueva Zelanda
Para esta etapa lanzaron con FRIENDS OF ANGELS GERMANY la campaña PEDALING FOR ANGELS, para recaudar fondos para los niños, niñas y adolescentes con enfermedades de difícil manejo y con patologías complejas en Colombia!
En Colombia cada año, más que 3.000 menores de edad están abandonados por sus familias. En el año 2017, fueron 3.254 niños, la mayoría de ellos (70%) son abandondados porque sus familias no tienen suficientes recursos para mantenerlos o por sus enfermedades o discapacidades. Según el Ministerio de Salud viven más que 161.500 niños y adolescentes en condición de discapacidad en el país. De ellos, más de 80% no tienen acceso a tratamientos médicos o terápias ya que partenecen a los estratos uno y dos o viven en zonas que no cuentan con centros médicos adecuados.
Pero hay un lugar que atiende a estos niños y les da un nuevo hogar lleno de amor y esperanza: FUNDACIÓN PROYECTO UNIÓN!
Esta organización social sin ánimo de lucro ubicada en Bogotá se dedica desde hace 19 años a servir y a ayudar las personas más vulnerables del país. Proyecto Unión acoge a los niños y adolescentes con discapacidades múltiples que fueron abandonados por sus familias. Además, niños con enfermedades de difícil manejo y crónicas están atendidos y reciben un tratamiento acompañados de sus familiares.

For this stage, they have launched the campaign PEDALING FOR ANGELS in order to collect donations together with FRIENDS OF ANGELS GERMANY for children with serious illnesses and disabilities in Colombia!
In Colombia, more than 3,000 children under the age of 18 are abandoned by their parents each year. In 2017, this number was 3,254 children, most of whom (70%) were abandoned due to the financial hardship of their families or because of their serious illnesses or disabilities. The number of children and adolescents under 18 with one or more disabilities is over 161,500. More than 80% of these children have no access to adequate medical care and therapies because they come from poor families who cannot afford medical treatments or live in remote villages without adequate hospitals.
FUNDACIÓN PROYECTO UNIÓN is a place that welcomes these children and gives them a new, loving home.
The Bogotá-based social NGO has been working tirelessly for more than 19 years to help those most affected by poverty, illness and, displacement in Colombia. It receives children and adolescents with multiple mental and physical disabilities left by their biological parents or whose parents cannot take care of them. In addition, children with difficult-to-treat diseases and chronic illnesses are taken care of, while they get medical treatments free of charge while they are accompanied by their relatives.
