The Seeking Amani Project

Amani Vumwe Primary School is in Mwanga, Tanzania by the Kilimanjaro region. The word “Amani” is Kiswahili for peace and “vumwe” is Kipare from the Mpare tribe of the Kilimanjaro region, meaning togetherness.

My grandmother, Paulina Mndeme built this school over twenty years ago. She holds the belief that every child has the right to education. Over fifty years of her life she has been teaching and working to provide that right.

My name is Waridi Valentine. I am the founder and creator of The Seeking Amani Project. The project is designed to provide essential resources for the students and add on to the education with an annual Community Building Workshop.

The students of Amani Vumwe have excelled academically. The purpose of The Community Building Workshop expands on the students creativity. The workshop provides innovative creative art activities with interactive discussions such as importance of health and environmental care.

The lesson of the July 2017 The Community Building Workshop are connected to GoFundMe donation request.  Amani Vumwe is in need of the following resources essential to assist in improving the conditions of a proper education.
