My name is John D'Ambrosio and I've created this campaign with one goal in mind; to collect as much money as possible to support the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation. This organization raises money towards funding for research and medicine in hopes to find a cure for childhood brain tumors. I've been involved with this charity for 10+ years because I'm a survivor of this deadly form of cancer.
I attended a leadership conference this past January in Atlanta, GA (profile picture is from that weekend). After that tremendous opportunity, I decided to become a Task Force Leader for the Ride for Kids and Starry Night events in Philadelphia (links below). My responsibilities include advocating for the foundation, organizing the events, recruiting volunteers and most importantly, FUNDRAISING FOR THE KIDS!
Some may remember the page that I made last year and some may not, but it was very successful and I was more than satisfied with the outcome. I was able to present over $3,000 to the organization at the events due to the generosity and kindness of friends, family, co-workers, etc. The happiness and gratitude shown by the attendees and especially the children has inspired me to make another page, in an effort to top last year's total.
I truly believe and hope that my goal can be achieved. The events are in September, so there is more than enough time to make this happen! Again, I want to thank each one of you for taking the time to read my page and considering making a donation. With the help of people like you and I, there's a better chance that a cure is eventually found and the suffering is put to an end for these children and their families. Anything that you may be able to offer will certainly be of assistance and be greatly appreciated! Even if you can't afford to contribute, please share with family, friends, etc that may be able to!
