Paxtons Helmet

Hello family, friends and anyone else this may reach. Ruben and I are trying to raise money for our little boy who is in need of a helmet. Unfortunately, after seeing a Neurologists and Orthotic Practitioner, Paxton has been recommended to wear a helmet due to a type of head deformation (Asymmetrical Brachycephaly). Paxtons back left side of his head is flat, and with the constant growth of his brain and skull, his head has been growing in different directions. Clear indications of this abnormal growth show in Paxton's left ear, it hangs lower and is more forward than his other ear, and on the left side of his face, it is shifted out more than the right side which can be seen on his left cheek that appears fuller than the right. Correction starts with a helmet called the STARband and usually begins around the age of 5 months, Pax 8 months old we have alot of catching up to do and little time before development slows down. The helmet is not covered under our (or most) insurances and will cost us $1800.00. Paxton will have to wear this helmet for 23 hours of the day for 5 months. The band will redirect future growth to make Paxton's face symmetrical and head rounded. It will also help eliminate future possible issues with jaw growth and head pressure (which could lead to severe conditions). Please help us remold our babies head!
