Paul Teixeira Family Fund

Today it pains me to write this note to all of you. Everyone has been effected by Cancer one way or another. It is an evil and devastating disease. We all owe it to the ones we love and the ones we do not know who have been touched by the ugly hand of Cancer. My good friend, Paul "Kubes" "Koobs" "Tex" Teixeira has passed suddenly this week due to Cancer, which was so ugly it stole him without anyone knowing. Anyone who has had the privilege of spending time with Paul, knows he was a grand personality, full of life, humor and depth. He leaves his wife, two young sons and countless family and friends wondering why this has happened.

From what I understand, Paul went to the hospital with what he thought could be a broken rib. However, he was diagnosed with cancer that was all throughout his giant body (a 6'8" frame). Over the course of 4 days, just 4 f*cking days (excuse my French), his body failed him and he passed.

I am setting this fund up to help Paul's wife Carrie and their two boys, Gavin (14mos) and Ronan (5 weeks) to have the funds for Paul's funeral services and to aid in the expenses of raising Paul's children. If we can raise enough support then Carrie can decide to donate in Paul's name for Cancer research. A few years back, Paul's mother was also taken from their family by Cancer. I am tired of sitting back and seeing friends and friends of friends have their lives forever changed by this terrible disease. If we all help we can all take a stand.

In advance, I appreciate anyone who offer's up a donation to Paul's family. I am asking for a minimum donation of $20, but any helps! 

I will miss Paul and his big belly laugh and all his shenanigans and I hope this gesture will help Carrie and will help Paul's family fight for others in his name.
