Dry Jan - Pauline's Cancer Fight!

Donation protected
I have decided to cut-out alcohol during January in an effort to raise some much needed funds for Pauline Gahan's cancer treatment in Germany. Rather worryingly I would have been a teenager the last time that I had more than a week or so without a drop of alcohol, so it's fair to say that this won't be the easiest of things for me - though not a drop in the ocean compared to the battle Pauline and her family have been fighting over the past six months.

In may 2016 British doctors broke the devastating news that she was terminally-ill, offering palliative care. Her family however refused to accept that nothing could be done and set to work researching an alternative. Barely six months later Pauline is nearly cancer free following treatment at a German facility named Hallwang Clinic, which offered a form of immunotherapy not available on the NHS.

Whilst the results have been nothing short of astounding they have come at a significant cost of over £200,000 ($350,000). I think that we would all agree that you cannot put a price on a loved one and her family and friends have remortgaged houses, sold cars and taken out loans to help cover the expenses.

The fight will continue until Pauline is cancer-free and hopefully you think that this effort deserves a few pounds/dollars.

Anything that you can spare would be greatly appreciated to help ensure that a wife, mum, nanna, sister and friend to many enjoys Christmas 2017 as she did Christmas 2016, something that wouldn't have been possible without this life-saving treatment.
