Hello my name is Mike. I am trying to help my stepson's dad, Paul who is a big part of our family with his dramatic life changing situation. As you see in the pictures posted Paul was on the go from dusk to dawn. He always made time to come see Chandler after work. He always made time to include my kids no matter how long he worked that day or how tired he was. If he didnt go out to play ball, tag or climb up on the big pile of dirt to play king of the hill, he would spin the kids around in the house until their little eyes were dizzy. He always put his family and friends before him and would do anything in the world for anyone. "No" was not in his vocabulary.
On December 17th Paul was tragically shot in the neck with a crossbow. The arrow damaged his carotid and ventricular artery and severed his spinal cord. The Doctors at Duke stated that there is a 99% chance he'll never walk again. So what we are hearing is that there is a chance he will walk again. With any help, monetary or prayers we will always be greatful.
On behalf of Michael, Chandler, Randall ( his stepson he raised), Amy, myself and all of his family, we ask that you continue to pray for Pauls Road to Recovery. Not only is this going to be a tough road ahead for Paul, its going to be a challenge for us as a family to learn to take care of him and adapt his surroundings to better accommodate his needs. God has blessed us with his life and we give all the glory to Him. With the help of any monetary contributions we will be purchasing a wheelchair, making easy accessible additions to the house for Pauls wheelchair and to help cover any additional expenses they may come about during Pauls recovery. We really appreciate all of the prayers and support.
I hope by me sharing this it will show that there is power and purpose in being obedient to God and that we as one nation under God can pull together as one big family to help each other out. Please spread the word and help me help Paul, Michael Chandler, Randall, family and friends
