World Championship Of Robotics PLHS

Donation protected
Hi, I am from the Pequot Lakes Minnesota Robotics Team 5913 otherwise known as Patriotics.  My team and I are raising money for our trip to St. Louis MO, which we had to work very hard to get.  We need the money now more than ever because we need to be able to pay for the Hotels and Travel fees to get ourselves and our Robot to St. Louis.  The reason why - our team is from a small town in Minnesota, we are going to the big city of St. Louis because we started our First ever Robotics team this year with our Schools help. They helped us pay the cost to get into Regionals in Duluth. We did so well in Duluth MN, and back home that the Award staff decided to give our team the title of Rookie All Star Award which is a very big honor for us. Since we won this award we are able to move onto the World Competition of Robotics which is in St. Louis.  We also have to pay to be able to get into this event which is around $5,000 dollars and we will need around $3,000 for the trip and rooms. We are currently trying to get sponsers for our team but not many companies would rather support a small rookie team rather than some other more expierenced teams. Our team will be leaving to St. Louis on April 27th so we would need the funds by then or even sooner so we can know how many memebers of our team we can bring with us. We have 15 members on our team and we all love what we do in Robotics and we all are looking into Engineering careers after highschool, we are all in highschool, including a few freshman and a few seniors and the rest sophomore and juniors. Currently there are over 800 teams of highschool students in FRC or First Robotics Competition. We are a promising rookie team and we could use all the help we can get. The money will be used for Travel, Entry into the Compition (where there will be over 30,000 people) we will also be using the money for food for the students and parts for the Robot. This means a lot to the 15 of us because it helps some of our team memebers be part of a group that treats them great and treats them like a family, we all love the different aspects of FRC because it impliments a lot of different things that we will be able to use in our futures, such as; building and manufacturing, programing, business and design and many more. It would be great to get the funds we need because not all of us would be able to pay to go on the trip,  but this would make it so we wouldnt have to. We would be very thankful to any donation we would get no matter how big or small it is. It would be amazing.  We send a thanks to all who donates and reads this message which i hope explains why we need this so much and how much good it will do for us as students. The video shows our robot destroying the defenses (the first 15 seconds our robot was driving by itself in autonomous mode and after that we had our programmer be the controller  from the opposite side of the field) which was our job on our team, we need to cross the defenses multiple times to score points. The tall blue robot on the red team was the shooter and we also would bring them balls while our other teammate was playing defense. Our robot 5913 is very good at destroying the defenses and we are pretty good at shooting goals, but we are working on making that better for the Championship at the end of April.

If you want to see more on our robot here is a link to the Video (red robot on the top with the number 5913) and a link to the FRC website.
