THEFT AT PATRICK'S POINT STATE PARK
Tax deductible
On the early morning of Tuesday, May 31, our staff arrived at the Patrick's Point State Park Visitor Center to find that someone had shattered the glass of the front door, climbed in, and stolen our safe. The safe contained visitor center income for the week, with a total loss of $1,152.75. We have since ordered a new safe at the cost of $130. We have also been advised to take extra precautions to prevent further break-ins, including the installation of a video security system quoted at $4,870.
We are asking for donations to help us recover from this loss, and to help cover the costs of replacing our safe and improving security at the visitor center. We want our staff to feel safe when working in this beautiful location.
We know so many people enjoy our public parks in California's north coast. Please show your support by helping us to reach our fundraising goal. All donations are tax-deductible.
