Pat Herremans Cancer Fight

       

Patrick Herremans is Sergeant with the Muskegon County Sheriff's Office.  Pat has served the community with pride for over twenty years.  Pat has always been the type of guy who is quick to lend a hand where needed.  Pat was diagnosed with esophageal cancer and had undergone chemotherapy and radiation treatments.  Pat then underwent surgery only to find out the cancer had spread to his lymphatic system.  The doctors were able to remove the affected lymph nodes, and the prognosis is good, however this means that Pat has to undergo another more intense round of chemotherapy and possibly radiation as well.
         Pat has two young boys (ages 10yrs and 8yrs) that he gets regular visitation with and Pat and his girlfriend Laura are trying very hard to keep spending quality time with the boys while Laura is working full time and trying to make sure that Pat is taken care of at the same time.  Friends and family have been bringing over meals for Pat to eat while Laura is working, and Laura has been planning out things that she can make ahead and have in the freezer for Pat to warm up and/or planning crock pot meals.  They have both been under a lot of stress and it would be wonderful for them to have some help come their way.  
          At this point not only are the medical expenses like co-pays starting to accumulate, but the additional day to day expenses incurred from taking time off of work and the cost incurred from travelling to medical appointments are starting to take a toll. 
These two are working very hard to keep everything together for their family during this difficult time and definitely deserve any help that can come their way.
