Pastor Rousseau Andre O'Neal II, was a husband, father, brother, friend and a leader. He showed and taught us that with God first in your life, you can do anything.
As a Pastor and a political figure, he always took care of the people no matter what or how defeated the battle seemed. When he believed in a cause, he fought against injustice. He was bold when dealing with challenges; he took on little problems and never showed fear facing the big ones.
Rev. O'Neal was a man of solutions. He also understood the logistics of how to carry those solutions out to ensure the desired results. For example: when the community had trouble voting, he created the Sunday busing to the poles, Souls to the Poles; Instead of looking to incarcerate people, he created the Work Program to help teach and empower those the community counted out, so they could positively contribute to society.
He advised and helped many political and community leaders, locally and nationally. From City Hall to the White House, he was a sought after advisor. Everyone knew if you needed an issue passed in Cincinnati, you had to go through Rev. O’Neal.
Pastor Rousseau Andre O'Neal II was known as an excellent teacher & preacher of the Word. He supported, encouraged and fostered many ministries. Not only did he speak the truth, his relationship with God was evident in his lifestyle. He was an example as a husband, father, son, sibling and friend… yet he met no stranger. He would give you the coat off his back then teach you how to get one of your own; imparting, instructing, assisting, and connecting people.
