Passing of Robert Chowns

It is with a heavy heart that we remember Rob Chowns who passed away suddenly at the age of 53 on February 4, 2019.
Rob will be remembered as a caring, kind and good friend, his devotion to Debbie, a proud father of 2 beautiful girls, Stephany and Cassandra and his love for his dogs, Roxy, Bandit and Honda.
He was an enthusiastic sports fan, especially for the Toronto Maple Leafs, loved Stephen King books and enjoyed cooking, especially for others.
Rob was a good friend and co-worker and was part of the Abrams family for over 15 years. He was devoted to the towing industry and to Abrams. He always participated in many of the Abrams extra events. Making his homemade lasagna for holiday luncheons, assisting with Abrams Auctions, working many years with the Indy and the pride parade as well as supporting our Ottawa location when they got snowed and needed more hands on deck!
Rob loved animals, especially dogs. He would save abused dogs and take them into his home to nurture them and find them a good home. He loved going to the dog park to watch the dogs run and play.
Rob assisted with Christmas donations and the food drive every year, by donating his time and putting in a full effort to make sure that everything was delivered on time to where it needed to be.
Debbie, Stephany and Cassandra need all our emotional help and support during this difficult time, however, no one should have to worry about how they are going to pay for a funeral/cremation during this already stressful time.
Your kind donations will be donated to Debbie so that she is able to cover the costs associated with the cremation and the celebration of life for Rob as well as any other costs she may need to cover during this difficult time.
We hope to do what we can to make this time for them a little easier and to let them know that Rob left a lasting memory on all his friends, colleagues and family.
