Pasquotank attempted prison break

On Thursday October 12, 2017, prisoners at the Pasquotank Correctional Institution attempted a prison break by first starting a fire in the prison sewing room.
Full details of this incident have not been released but at the time of this writing, two correctional officers have lost their lives and eight others suffered varying degrees of injuries.
While no amount of money can change the events of today, or bring back those we lost, my hope is our community can come together to offer the victims and their families monetary support in their time of need.
My name is Angela Welsh and I am a resident of Pasquotank County , North Carolina. I will be working through the Pasquotank County Sherrifs Department to ensure all funds raised through this effort are given to the victims and their families.
