For Pasha’s post-surgeries reabilitation

This is what I woke up to on March 11, 2019 with ongoing treatment and he inpatient in rehabilitation center and not dismissed back home. 


Those who know me would attest that I approach life with joy, a sense of adventure and a never-ending party.  I  always find a silver lining even when times get tough.  Yet it is getting too much to handle even for someone like me. First, it was my motorcycle  accident with many ensuing surgeries, painful healing and a long rehabilitation process.  This time Pasha had a terrible accident falling from a 70-feet height (21 meters) and sustaining horrendous injuries. It’s a miracle that he is alive.  Now we both need help because while he will be trying to make a recovery, I will be his around the clock nurse for the next 6 to 8 months.   

The list of his diagnosed injuries so far is as follows:

Triple fracture of the right leg
Extensive damage to the right knee
Several broken ribs
Several fractures of the right arm and elbow
A crack of a shoulder blade
Lower back injuries
Extensive hematoma 
Cerebral bleed
Significant loss of blood 
Open face and left arm wounds
Additionally he developed Post Traumatic anxiety, panic attacks and apathy. 


I am keeping my spirits high and am hopeful that with time and good care Pasha will make a recovery.  However, we are are looking at a very long and potential very costly healing and rehabilitation process.  We might consider taking Pasha overseas to see trauma specialists due to very complex,  level 6 out of 6 levels for the best care available which will also mean high cost.  For now we are doing our best in NYC which means 2 month were spent in Bellevue Hospital moving between Emergency Surgical Care Unit to Thoracic unit  to spending another month in Rehab and Nursing Care Home in Queens with the help of close friends. 

Some of you might know that 3 years ago I had a severe motorcycle accident and am still coping with its aftermath.  My surgeries and rehabilitation costs nearly depleted our combined savings and “ate" into whatever financial cushion we had.  We did not reach out for your help then, but this time I have to.  I simply will not be able to support us as Pasha is our main earner. 

We need all the help we can get.  I plead with each and every one of you to find sympathy and compassion, to empathise with our situation.  Please contribute whatever you can to help us deal with the upcoming bills as well as finding the best care possible for Pasha. 


Even if you do not know him - he is as introverted as I am vivacious - I ask you to find it in your heart to help him as you would have helped me had you seen me with so many injuries and in so much pain.  

Thank you for your support. Your prayers are not unnoticed. Although I physically cannot answer the overwhelming number of messages I am receiving, I read every single one of them whenever I am able to stop and take a breath.  


Due to my very emotional state of mind and given the circumstances, I am asking you to refrain from any kind of speculation on the matter and slow down on the questions as to why, how and when the accident had occurred
until Pasha is able to clarify and I am emotionally stable to answer these questions.

Кто знаком со мной, знает, что я живу по принципу «оптимист в квадрате»: неунывающая, активная и открытая.   Легкая на подъем и любящая приключения. 

Кто-то знаком с Пашей, кто-то знает только меня.  Сейчас это неважно.  Мы оба остро нуждаемся в вашей помощи.  Паша попал в чудовищный несчастный случай, упал с большой высоты.  Его  состояние по прежнему очень критическое и его пока не выписывают.  Он чудом остался жив и сейчас по прежнему находится под круглосуточным наблюдением многих специалистов. 

Список только выявленных травм огромен:
в трёх местах сломана правая нога и дополнительно колено
сломаны ребра
сломана челюсть
 многочисленные переломы руки и дополнительно локтя
трещины на лопатке
трещины на пояснице
обширная гематома
черепное кровотечение
общирные потери крови
открытые раны на лице и левой руке (их зашили) 
На общем фоне развились проблемы психологического характера: панические атаки, волнения, апатия. 

С мыслями о лучшем и будучи по жизни женщиной-бойцом, я не опускаю руки и настроена на лучшее, что бы мне не говорили.  Нам предстоят очень долгие месяцы реабилитации.  Мы уже прошли месяц в палате интенсивного наблюдения, месяц  замотанного в гипсе и теперь месяц в рехабе и это не предел. Под долгой реабилитацией я подразумеваю период 6-8 месяцев, только для того, чтобы срослись кости и начать ходить. 

Моя мото-авария, с последствиями которой я по-прежнему борюсь, можно сказать, «съела» все имеющиеся финансовые сбережения обеих семей.  Сейчас одна я просто никак не потяну.  Паша нуждается не только в помощи оплаты медицинских счетов, но и в оплате крыши над головой и связанной с этим ипотеки хотя бы на время, пока он придёт в себя достаточно для того, чтобы перенести перелёт,  если мы будем вынуждены сменить место жительства по финансовым соображениям.   Возможно нам придется искать помощи у специалистов зарубежом, а лучшая медицинская помощь зачастую является синонимом лечению в Израиле или Швейцарии. Это все тоже стоит денег.  


С этими словами я обращаюсь лично ко всем и каждому.  Помогите.  Сильная и гордая, я никогда не просила ничего ни от жизни, ни от людей, но сейчас на одних моих силах не выехать.  Пашина работа была основным источником доходов.  Возможно вы не были знакомы с ним так хорошо, но я прошу вас помочь ему так, как помогли бы вы мне, зная о всех травмах и боли,  понимая, на какую долгую и сложную дорогу к выздоровлению мы ступаем.    

С учётом очень сложного эмоционального фона, я попрошу всех воздержаться от спекуляций на тему этого несчастья и не забрасывать меня вопросами «как, почему, зачем, когда», пока я не решу, что я достаточно хорошо себя чувствую, и пока Паша (помолитесь за него хоть я и не сильно религиозна) не будет в состоянии сам рассказать что произошло.
