Participation in a Music Course

My name is Elizaveta Saul and I am an aspiring violinist studying at the Royal College of Music in London. 6 years ago I left my home town Minsk (Belarus) to move to UK to follow my dream of studying music, and having completed my GCSEs and A levels at the Chetham’s School of Music in Manchester I then moved to London after being awarded a full international ABRSM award for the duration of my Bachelor degree. In the past year I have performed a number of recitals both within and outside of UK and participated  in masterclasses with world class musicians including Maxim Vengerov. I am passionate not only about music, but also am a dedicated member of the Students’ Union team in which I will perform as the Vice President in the coming year. 

Along my journey I have been extremely lucky to have met some wonderful people who have supported me both morally and financially, which makes me believe that hard work pays off!


I have been invited to participate in a summer music course in Italy in August (Quattro Corde) which provides intensive instrumental tuition with world class violin professors and numerous performance opportunities – something I would find extremely beneficial and essential in my preparation for a solo international competition in September as well as a number of recitals and a solo recording. The full cost of the course is £1000 inclusive of travel expenses, but I have been lucky enough to have been awarded a small and yet extremely helpful scholarship from the course. Having written to a number of music scholarship trusts I unfortunately was reminded that a lot of them don’t support musicians from outside of UK, so here I am asking for your help. I would be extremely grateful for any donations I could receive and any advice regarding organisations/trusts I could write to!
