REBUILDING PARALOS BEACH BAR & SHOP
At dawn on May 18, 2017 a fire broke out at Paralos Beach Bar on Kalogria Beach in Stoupa Mani, Greece destroying the holiday shop, store room with all the seasonal goods, food and drink supplies, and the bar's coolers. The bar itself was badly damaged and is also need of repair.
Two families' annual incomes profoundly depend on the revenue generated by the shop and beach bar so there is a great need for assistance to get them back on their feet, rebuild and restore immediately in time for the summer season as well as re-stocking the shop tourists depend on for their needs while on the beach.
Please find it in your hearts to assist in any way you can since it is impossible for Paralos to turn to the banks due to the economic crisis gripping the country because they are not issuing loans until at least the capital controls are lifted...no one knows when that will be.
Immediately after the fire was put out! After the fire...
When the community joins in to help...a work in progress but in much need of assistance.
Progress in rebuilding Paralos is being made thanks to your generosity but more help is necessary.
I once again appeal to your hearts to donate ANYTHING you can to complete the work. Also, sharing this post may help just as much by making more people aware of this campaign.
With much gratitude and love,
While we are doing well for only being live for 3 days, I implore you to find it in your hearts to donate as little or as much as you can to this worthy cause. The families involved will be forever grateful for all the help they can get to rebuild not only the shop and Beach Bar, but also their lives! Thank you in advance for your generousity!
All my friends and family...anything you can donate will be appreciated. This is an icon of the beach front in Stoupa and these guys are truly amazing. Two brothers who opened up together in their 20s, working hard and always doing the right thing by their community and their patrons. For close to 20 years they have consistently gone above and beyond, to bring the best products and service to their patrons and the community, setting the bar high and supporting their fellow business owners, employees, local schools, and any need in the community. Quietly, without taking the credit, always. Rather than try to get rich, they aimed to make a living, sharing their success with everyone around them, and setting an example with their work ethic, sense of community and giving back, and commitment to doing what is right no matter what. Let's help them recover from this...helping them helps the entire community. Who's in?
