Paradise Upward Bound Victims

I am the former director of the California State University, Chico Upward Bound Projects, a program to help low-income students who will be the first in their family to attend college, succeed.  Upward Bound has been serving Paradise for over 50 years. Now the whole town has burned to the ground.  Many current Upward Bounders, alumni and staff have lost their homes--AND--the fire is still not contained. The fire moved so fast that most people fled with only the clothes they were wearing.  We still cannot account for everyone because land lines and cell towers are gone and people have evacuated all over the state.  Your donation will be significant in meeting immediate, present needs and hopefully, once we put cash into their hands, it will help the Upward Bound victims start over.
