Papa Bears Funeral Costs

Donation protected
As you all know our beloved papa bear passed away on 5th June after a second battle with cancer. He was such a kind  hearted man who was loved by many. As much as we didn’t want to ask for help, life didn’t give us a choice so Im going to tell a little about his story first.
30th October 2017 papa bear was diagnosed with bladder cancer after feeling unwell for months, he had one surgery then three rounds of chemo, then a life changing surgery to remove his bladder. It was a very difficult year for him but he came through and we could enjoy our lives again.
20th September 2018 we got the news, ALL CLEAR !! As you can imagine we were all so happy! But that was long lived, Shortly after in December papa bear started to feel poorly again, he had several blood tests but everything was all clear, he kept going back and finally in April he was scanned again, we waited for the news, it felt like a lifetime.
23rd April 2019 we were told that unfortunately he had cancer again, it was in his liver and peritoneum. Our hearts broke. We prepared him and ourselves for the road ahead.
29th of April he was in excruciating pain and had to be put on morphine. How was this happening so quick, we couldn’t understand.
1st May we were told by the GP it had spread to his pelvis and he had 12-24 months without treatment.  He was losing his mobility and he was losing his good spirit.
20th May we were told 12-24 months even with the treatment, he had another scan done so we would be able to know what stage it was at from how it has progressed from 23rd April. We were all in so much shock it was hard to take in, he refused to give up and promised to fight it, he decided he would try everything possible even new things that were found in the upcoming weeks and months.
25th May they closed down his pride and joy, the much loved Beauty Box. It was a very sad week for him.
28th May... Our world shattered. Weeks.... he had weeks! Possibly months, stage 4.. How did this happen we were all broken. But good old papa bear continued to try and be positive and told us everything would be ok
29th May his first round of chemo, he looked good, he felt good and we thought this was a good sign, this was the day that changed it all. From this day on he deteriorated, the week following was the worst of our lives, in this short week we watched him fade away, Wednesday he was talking, Thursday he was totally out of it and he couldn’t get even hold a conversation, it happened so quick we had no time and he sadly passed away peacefully after only 8 short days of being told weeks possibly months.
Unfortunately he didn’t have any life insurance, we didn’t have a chance to sort out anything because it all happened so fast.  We want to give him the best send of we think he deserves. So here we are as a family, asking for help. Any donations will be gravely appreciated.

All our love,
 Gary’s family ❤️
