Francisco (Pancho) Morales (45) is in desperate need of assistance. He had his leg amputated in February of 2018 due to gangrene. He also has Type 2 diabetes, congenital heart failure, liver disease, and hyperlipidemia. His road to recovery will be very long and difficult, but we are with him to ensure he gets what he needs.
Pancho has worked in McDonald's for 15 years and has become the rock of our Team. He is always willing to help and be there when needed. He has never missed a shift or been late. Pancho would walk to and from his house in Streamwood, IL to the restaurant everyday (which is about a 30 minute walk each way). There were many times where Pancho would work very long hours and holidays and cover other shifts when others wouldn't show up to work. He was available anyday, anytime-no matter what.
At work his performance was second to none. He is one of the very fastest and knowledgable kitchen staff members I have encountered in 18 years. He is the Crew Trainer in the Kitchen Department and was responsible for training new staff on procedures. Best of the Best!!!
Pancho has since lost some of his vision and also become anemic. He has a very strict diet that must be followed to ensure sugar levels and carbohydrates are in line for his diabetes. He is currently paying for all medication and hospital consultations out of pocket as he does not have health insurance.
The list of things that Pancho needs is very long and will continue to grow. Aside from not receiving a paycheck for working any longer, the medical bills and future therapy will be very expensive. Our goal is to ensure that Pancho is on the road to recovery and receives a prosthetic leg so that he may walk again.

desesperadamente. Le amputaron la pierna en febrero de 2018 debido a una gangrena. También tiene diabetes tipo 2, insuficiencia cardíaca congénita, enfermedad hepática e hiperlipidemia. Su camino hacia la recuperación será muy largo y difícil, pero estamos con él para asegurarnos de que obtenga lo que necesita.
Pancho ha trabajado en McDonald's durante 15 años y se ha convertido en el rock de nuestro equipo. Él siempre está dispuesto a ayudar y estar allí cuando sea necesario. Nunca se ha perdido un turno o ha llegado tarde. Pancho iba y venía de su casa en Streamwood, IL, al restaurante todos los días (que está a unos 30 minutos a pie en cada sentido). Hubo muchas ocasiones en las que Pancho trabajaría muchas horas y días festivos y cubriría otros turnos cuando otros no se presentaran a trabajar. Él estaba disponible cualquier día, en cualquier momento, sin importar qué.

Él tiene una dieta muy estricta que debe seguirse para garantizar que los niveles de azúcar y los carbohidratos estén en línea para su diabetes. Actualmente, él está pagando todas las medicinas y consultas del hospital de su bolsillo ya que no tiene seguro de salud.
La lista de cosas que necesita Pancho es muy larga y continuará creciendo. Además de no recibir un cheque por trabajar más, las facturas médicas y la terapia futura serán muy costosas. Nuestro objetivo es asegurarnos de que Pancho se encuentre en el camino de la recuperación y reciba una prótesis para caminar nuevamente.
