Citizens of the African diaspora, it's time to celebrate! This is our 7th annual event and this will be the very best one yet! We've got a full day planned out for you and your entire family. The Pan-African Festival is a free event that relies heavily on community donations. This year we are receiving $12k less in grants than we did last year. I will personally donate 1/3 of that $12k which leaves a remaining $8,000 to be raised be our community. Will you match me? Afrocentric Oakland’s 7th Annual Pan-African Festival is a free family event carefully curated to cultivate pride, joy, self-determination and sovereignty for diasporic Africans. Through participation in a full day of entertainment, music, dancing, group games, great kids activities and play area, holistic health workshops, arts, crafts, food and merchandise vendors, the day intends to celebrate the rich cultures of Africa and it’s global influences.
