Painting of Historic Acton Church
Donation protected
In the Spring of 2017, Friends of the South Acton Baptist Church was formed in order to assist the Maple Grove Cemetery Association advocate for the Old Church building and raise money for restoration projects, the first of which was to paint the exterior of the building. The Association set aside $3,000 and through generous donors, programming and other donations we have reached $9,800 which is 78% of our goal of $12,500. We are setting a capstone goal for this project of $3,000 in order to complete the painting in the summer of 2018. We warmly thank all of those who have donated already and we hope that you will consider donating to this fund in order to help us meet our goal and preserve this historical community treasure.
Should we raise any additioanl funds over and above the funds needed to paint the building, those excess funds will be applied to the painting and restoration of the roof of the church. Should we complete the roof project, the next project may be the restoration and preservation of the stain glass windows.
Please consider donating to this project. Donations come with a free guided tour of the historic South Acton Baptist Church. Thank you for your consideration.
