Paige's medical fund

Hi everyone,

My name is Janelle.  One of my best friends Paige was diagnosed with APML Leukemia on December 10th, 2016.

Let me tell you a little bit about Paige. Not only is she in her Senior year of college at Umass Dartmouth, but studied abroad in Scotland for her Spring semester of Junior year. She is going to do great things in life because she is an incredibly intelligent & amazing person.  My best friend is so outgoing, truthful, honest, gorgeous, caring, nice, and just truly a beautiful soul. My life would not be as wonderful & would have a significant decline of happiness if she wasn't in it. I wouldn't be who I am right now if she wasn't a part of my life. NO words can describe how I feel right now as she's going through this. I wish with everything in me that I could make this go away for her. I would do anything for this woman. She is a part of my family.

Paige has had a lot going on, but she still has managed to be strong & focus on her future. Last year in October her father was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. Her father passed away on Christmas, may he rest easy. So for all of us who have healthy loved ones in our lives, Paige & her family have not been so blessed like rest of us. I can't imagine how hard it is right now for not only Paige, but her family also. Not only do they have one sick loved one, but now have lost one. I cannot imagine how completely tough it must be for them all.

Paige has a had such a long road, but soon she will be cancer free. But, just because she will no longer have cancer does not make the medical expenses go away. Not only would you help my best friend with her medical expenses, but it would also help her mother. It would relieve a great deal of stress she has on her shoulders.

I decided to start this not only for my best friend, but for her mom. I want them to know that they will get the help they need, and to take away some of the worry & stress. It would mean the absolute world to me to help them, and take away some of that for them. If I could do more I would. I can't find enough words to get you all to understand how important Paige is not only to me, but so many others. She is a wonderful best friend, daughter, sister, cousin, niece, and granddaughter. You can make a whole family have happy holidays by donating. Even if it's just $5, anything can & will help as we all know how hospital bills can start to add up with an illness such as leukemia.
