Paddle for Pedals

Donation protected
In June 2018, Paul and Amelie from You Powered, attended a community bike fair in Norfolk County.  During the event, they couldn't help but notice the number of people living with disabilities riding dated bicycles that were barely safe for the road. Despite the condition of the bikes, the riders were completely excited about cycling.  Their bicycle gives them a method of transportation that offers autonomy and much more.

Paul and Amelie were so moved by this that they have decided to support these cyclists with hopes to make their cycling experience safer.

You Powered decided to challenge Karen Matthews, the general manager at Burning Kiln Winery and Long Point Eco Adventures to another fitness challenge,  however this time the challenge has a cause!

Paul and Amelie along with South Coast Watersport are challenging Karen and members of the community to attempt to paddle board from Port Ryerse to Port Dover on September 16 while raising funds for bicycle upgrades for the disabled community. As mentioned above, many of them ride adult tricycles that are in desperate need of maintenance... working brakes and visibility aids being the most important items.  Some tricycles need repairs while others need to be replaced.
