Helping the homeless

As part of our NCS social action project, a group of us are raising money to create bags to give to homeless people. These will include toiletries, clothes, sanitary products and other essential needs. We are aiming to create 20 bags.
To raise funds we are doing a variety of things. Winners gym have kindly let us use their equipment next Thursday, of which we will all attempt to travel as many miles as possible on treadmills, bikes and rowers in 3 hours. As a group we are aiming to complete 47 miles as this is the life expectancy of someone who sleeps rough.
We are also doing a bake sale from 11am on Wednesday 29th August outside the Change Academy in Newton Abbot to hopefully raise more funds.
Charmaine Christie has also bravely volunteered to shave her head for this cause!
Any donations of any amount are appreciated and can be done via the GoFundMe link. Every penny counts to getting items for these bags. Any left over will be given to a local homeless charity
