My Name is Patricia Brown, owner of the historic 1936 dining car, "The Silver Top Diner" in Rhode Island.
I have been in a court battle with the city of Pawtucket, RI, "PRA" -Planning & Redevelopment for years, I won the court battle with a jury trial 2 years ago but 3 weeks later a judge overturned the jury decision & took
everything away from me & gave it to the PRA. I put in an appeal & I am waiting for a new trial date. Meanwhile the PRA is trying to auction off my dining car. In the court case we had, the PRA showed some sort of loan application papers for a 100 thousand dollar loan for me to rebuild the diner which was moved from Providence, RI due to Emanate Domain & to Pawtucket, RI, these loan papers I had never filled out, someone else did and Dates on other loan papers also had the dates changed & the attorney for the PRA, Kevin Horan, admitted in the court room that he was not only there for the PRA when the loan papers was signed he also admitted to it being his handwriting on the papers but no judges have made him recluse himself from he case so we could call him as a witness. For my new trial I have to hire a forensic accountant & a handwriting analysis. that will run about $4,000 or more for the accountant & not sure a range for a handwriting analysis.
I have no money left to fight, I have been out of work going on 2 years after falling on ice & snow, tearing up my shoulder & shattering all bones in my neck, I am recouping from surgery having to have a full neck reconstruction of 3 rods, 24 screws, 3 fake disc's & 4 spacers, I am living on just over $700 a month, I am behind on utilities & rent due to all the time I was left with no income for a year. I have borrowed all I can & every time something happens with court I have to get the money up to fight. I hate asking for anything but I need all the help I can get right now, transcripts cost me almost $1,700 & filing fees are $190 each, every person I have to have subpoenaed costs $60.
