WHO: My name is Matt Erickson, owner of cometogetherspace an Arts Event space and studios for the Community to serve the artists & the public. We inhabit a building that dates back to 1854, celebrating its 163nd birthday this year. February 28th will be the 7th anniversary of c{ } 's existence at 212 N. Roosevelt Ave in Bloomington IL. We are directly on the line of the re-emerging West Side & Downtown, a comingtogether of communities.
WHAT: We are raising money for a Sprinkler System to ensure the safety of all who attend our events. This system is also required by the International Fire Code for us to exist in this manner. Without it we cannot.
HOW: The money raised will be used to pay local companies to plan & install the system which includes all electric & plumbing that goes with it. These companies are also letting us do some of the work we can do instead of them to save us some money. This helps tremendously.
WHEN: We are on a schedule with our local Code Dept. to start installing the system whenever the goal is reached.
WHY: We provide an atmosphere & opportunity for all walks of life, giving artists the chance to do the things they wish to share with others. Personally it is my passion to be of service to the artists & public for the next 50+ years of my life. This is my childhood dream- to live in and run a welcoming, affordable, magical space for people to bring & experience JOY in their lives.
We will continue to express our thanks for your support in the decades to come by moving forward with making the dreams of others come true, no matter how small or large. Thank You so much.
