Nick Vaky's Surgery Support Fund

Nicholas Vaky, well loved son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin and friend, has been fighting stage three Extragonadal Germ Cell Cancer, which presented with a rare form of germ cell tumor, grown around his aorta. He has already undergone the first round of treatment,  and had some positive results at the Sun Yat Sen Cancer Center, in Taipei, Taiwan, where he now lives. Nicholas has been treated there with three months of intensive chemotherapy, which reduced the tumor by fifty percent. Now, it is time for the critical next step, a risky surgery for removal of the remaining tumor and to deal with a thrombosis near the tumor.  The Hospital teams most experienced to do this surgery are in the USA.     As a result, there will be travel expenses and additional medical costs for Nicholas along with insurance premiums  and co-payments,  and also living expenses to cover in Taiwan while he is in the US.    All funds donated will go directly to Nicholas.  Please help Nick get to the surgeons who can help him,  so that he can get on with his brilliant life!
