The pharmaceutical industry created the opioid crisis. Yet people who were duped into addiction have taken the blame for it.
This is why I’m working on an initiative that calls out the pharmaceutical industry and others for their role in this crisis and removes the stigma from opioid abuse.
My team includes Hollywood directors/producers, A-list celebrity talent, influential musicians and high profile athletes. The game-changing content and development will mostly be donated, but something of this magnitude will need funding to complete.
Which is why I need your help.
I have formed a not-for-profit called “Overdose Free America”. I’m asking my family and friends, and their family and friends, to join a movement and help me on my journey.
By partnering with national, state and local governments, not-for-profits and professional organizations we aim to capture America’s hearts and minds with content that’s engaging, entertaining and de-stigmatizes opioid abuse. This collaborative approach will enable Overdose Free America to inspire people to take action through three core initiatives: REALIZE THE DANGER, RETURN UNUSED OPIOIDS and REACH OUT FOR HELP.
Remember that viral content with a meaningful call to action can change the world. I will post updates on money raised and timelines of projects as they evolve.
