This GoFundMe page was set up on behalf of the Hicks family as their loving daughter was taken from this world on February 14, 2017 in a senseless act of hatred while she was preforming her daily job.
This has been devastating to her family on several levels and at this time of grief and loss, they like most of us were not planning on burial cost of their daughter.
Outi touched so many lives in such positive ways as she turned her life around showing that all things are possible with hard work and positive attitude. Recently one of her greatest accomplishments was the completion of the Carpenters Pre Apprenticeship program and joining Carpenters Local 701 where there is nothing but praise for her and her dedication to the job and her family. Outi is survived by her 3 young sons, her parents and extended family.
Outi will be missed by many and remembered by all whose life was touched by her infectious smile and love of life.

GoFundMe requested the following information: I am Jackie Gill I currently livebin Madera, Ca and my husband works out of the Fresno UBC Local 701. I am a friend of Outi s and my husband Tom was Outi's instructor in the Pre Apperinceship program and her mentor upon her release. I met Outi through him and became fast friends. I decided to do this after speaking with Outi s mother and realizing the financial stress she is facing. I also have hoped of this helping me deal with my anger at this senseless tragedy. The money donated will be transfered to the memorial fund that her mother set up to cover her burial cost, If there is money exceeding the amount needed which is $10,500.00 it will go into trust for Outis 2 young boys and their needs.
