A minha história em Africa começou há 25 anos atrás com o filme do Rei Leão. Hoje, 25 anos depois, um novo filme do Rei Leão vai ser lançado e eu estou a trabalhar em Africa para salvar os rei leões da vida real.
As doenças infecciosas como a raiva e a esgana foram descritas nos anos 90s na Tanzânia como uma das principais causas do declínio de carnívoros selvagens como o Mabeco ou o Leão africano. Como médica veterinária, estou agora no Zimbabwe e estou responsável pelo controlo dessas doenças nos carnívoros selvagens e domésticos. Estou a fazer a minha investigação e o meu trabalho para mudar o futuro destas (e outras)espécies ameaçadas de extinção. Para alcançar o meu sonho, espero que este gofundme ajude a comprar os materiais e os equipamentos que são necessários, e me ajude a salvar e tratar animais domésticos e selvagens no Zimbabwe. Este dinheiro será usado em campanhas de vacinação de cães/gatos domésticos, campanhas de esterilização, testes de doenças e tratamentos.
Este é a Africa Minha, e espero conseguir envolver muitos apaixonados pela vida selvagem na minha história africana.
My story in Africa started 25 years ago with the Lion King. Now, 25year later, a new Lion King movie is being released and I am working in Africa to save the real-life lion kings.
Infectious diseases such as rabies and distemper have been reported in the 90s in Tanzania as one of the major causes for the decline of wild carnivores such as the Painted dog or the African lion. As a vet surgeon, I am now in Zimbabwe and I am responsible to control these diseases among the wild and the domestic carnivores. I am doing my research and work in order to change the future of these (and other) endangered species. To achieve this dream, I hope this gofundme help me to buy all the material and equipments that are needed, and help me to save and treat wild and domestic animals in Zimbabwe. This money will be used in domestic dogs/cats vaccination campaigns, spay/neuter campaigns, disease testing and treatments.
This will be my Out of Africa story, and I hope I can get many wildlife lovers involved in my African story.
