Perla’s Breast Cancer Campaign

 “Less than 48 hours ago I was sitting down to eat, making a mental list of items I still needed to purchase before leaving for eight months when I finally got the call I'd been waiting for and received the news I hoped would not come. I have breast cancer. Instead of leaving yesterday afternoon with the crew I've grown to love, I sat in a waiting room with my best friend and mentally prepared myself for the doctor to elaborate on, what up until the last two days I knew nothing about.” -- Perla Rodriguez

This is my friend, Perla. She's the kind of woman that has it all together. She's strong and independent. She never asks for help. But this time, she needs our help.

As a Naval Academy alumni and first generation American, Perla has worked harder than anyone I know to create a better life for herself and for her family. But at 26 years old she was diagnosed with breast cancer.

Most of Perla's medical expenses are covered. However, expensive treatments that Perla absolutely needs in order to fulfill her dream of become a mother and raising a family are not covered. 

It's often said that God does not give us more than we can handle...well, God, you picked a FIGHTER. Please help us fight this battle and consider donating anything you have.
