Our Lily was Mauled by Two Dogs!

My name is Tiffany. I am a wife, a mother and a loving pet owner asking for your help with a fur baby emergency.
My family and I came home the night of January 9 to find two strange dogs in our backyard (which is completely enclosed by a 6' fence), and our beautiful four-year-old cat, Lily, in critical condition after being mauled by these two. They jumped the fence into our backyard and attacked our baby in a place where she should be safe and secure. My girl managed to claw her way to safety under our back deck, which saved her life, but the attack on her was horrific. I am heartbroken at what my sweet baby endured.
She has a broken jaw, a broken leg, she will most likely lose one eye, has puncture wounds on her abdomen, and will need a minimum of three separate surgeries. The emergency hospital called her a “miracle” cat, because they said it was a miracle she survived. She has a long road ahead of her, but we are beyond thankful she has a good chance of a complete recovery.
That chance, however, includes a total price currently estimated at about $6,000. The owner of the dogs told police and the Animal Control officers who responded to our emergency call that he would pay for her care, then he took his dogs and went home. However, when the emergency animal hospital called him that night, he said he had about $800, but that was all he could do.
(What is even more outrageous is that we've been told Lily is not the first cat these two dogs have attacked and/or killed in the area. The owner admitted that the dogs could jump tall fences and have escaped out of their yard on numerous occasions. But that is for the authorities to handle. My primary concern is my Lily.)
My 12-year-old daughter is devastated, as are her parents. You see, we lost one of our cats on December 21 (abrupt kidney failure at age 17) and her brother (also 17) followed on January 6 … just three days before this attack. This is the third fur baby in almost three weeks we stand a chance of losing. I will do anything in my power to keep that from happening, so we would be more than grateful for donations.
If we are blessed enough to raise enough money for Lily's care, anything extra will be donated to a worthy animal organization. And please do not underestimate the power of prayer ... if you can't help financially, your good thoughts and prayers are gratefully accepted too!
