Our Last Goodbye

Donation protected

Aloha! My name is Kristi Madrona, daughter and one of seven born to Cora(Calica)Madrona(deceased) and Kenneth Madrona Sr. April 24, 2017 my dad was admitted into Genesis Hospital located in Ohio for phenemonia. While in the hospital the doctors found more than one things wrong with his health. They said his heart pacer wasn't functioning properly and suggested a open heart surgery to done. May 4th he was transferred to OSUH hospital also located in Ohio for his surgery. His surgery was done May 11, 2017. Since May 11, 2017 my dad hasn't woken up yet, Since May 11th he has been through a total of 8 surgeries done on him. In the beginning my dad has made some responsive movements to let us know he is still here. Now he hasn't made much movements at all. On May 14, 2017 my sister's that are there had messaged us saying our dad took a turn for the worse and told us to pray for him. Till today he is still fighting, fighting hard to still be here. Within the past week we had a video chat with all the siblings and doctor's there with my dad. Their advice to us was to go up there as soon as we can to see our dad because he isn't doing so good and not sure on how much time he has left. My dad has lived here on the Big Island all his life. Moving to Ohio was his first and longest journey away from home, his kids, grandkids and great grandkids here. While he was here I have been there along with my siblings here by his side at every surgery he had. We have been here each time he went in and woke up by his side. It hurts that the first surgery that I am not there for has took a turn for the worse. Hurts that he's miles away, isn't doing good, and fighting for his life. My other siblings flew up recently to be there and we also want to be there too. What I am asking is for help to send me and my brother's up to also be with my dad. I am a mother of 8 and I really don't have the funds to come up with and fly there as soon as possible to see our dad. Please help us fly there to see our dad one last time and say our last goodbyes. To let him know that we are all there and we know he fought a good long fight to stay here and now he can rest and be with our mom. Anything will be appreciated and thankful for. Any remaining funds after our flights are made will go towards our dad's journey back home. Mahalo Nui Loa and God Bless!
