Our friend and colleague Tim Powers

It is with the utmost sadness that I am announcing, with permission from his wife Renee, that our friend and colleague Tim Powers, has been diagnosed with cancer.  The cancer was diagnosed in a very late stage and it has consumed his body.  As of right now Tim is resting comfortably in Hospice care.

Tim is a man who has walked many paths in his lifetime.  He has been in the roofing industry for at least 40 years.  This man knew his stuff and was a treasured asset at Loudoun Valley Roofing over the past four years.  He has a passion for being a basest in a band called Whiskey N' Lace and on many Friday or Saturday nights you could find him entertaining people from all walks of life.   He is also a friend to anyone that was lucky enough to cross any of the paths he travelled. 

The objective of this GoFundMe account is to provide enough to give Tim a proper burial, pay all of his copays from all of his recent doctors visits, and hopefully give Renee enough cushion to figure out the next steps in her life.  Tim loves Renee with all his heart.  His main concern upon finding out that he was ill was her.  He told her he wasn't scared, that he led a happy and full life, but that he was worried about leaving her.

Many of you have asked me what you can do or how you can help and this is the best way I can think of doing just that.  Please help us honor his life and the man he is by helping to take care of the things that he treasured the most, his family and his home.  100% of the funds raised through this account will go to taking care of Tim and Renee.
