France is a very loving, proud, devoted mother to Alexie and Jayden. She lives her life to the fullest enjoying numerous family activities (among them: 4 wheeling, camping, hiking, just having fun). Family is always her number one priority, they come first!
France was an exceptional social worker but found her true vocation twelve years ago, teaching at Ecole St-Joseph in Blind River. Her role as a teacher is very clear, it’s to remind her students of their self worth. Her constant encouragement, silly behaviour and devotion are all part of her excellence in teaching. She goes above and beyond to inspire each student to succeed. With her creative mind, her ambitiousness, her compassion, her generosity, her contagious laughter and her warm heartedness, she is able to fill everyone’s hearts with love and joy. That’s how she became everyone’s favourite teacher!
Two years ago, France got her motorcycle licence. Riding her Harley alongside Guy, her earth angel, her love and life partner, has become her passion. France says that riding her Harley gives her an unexplainable feeling of gratefulness and freedom from the everyday stresses of life.
France has always had great faith in God. She trusts Him, she sees Him as a sheltering tree protecting her and never failing to help her. Twenty months ago, this beautiful person we call France, received devastating news. She was diagnosed with Triple Negative Breast cancer. Since then she has been a cancer warrior. She has endured chemotherapy, radiation, a mastectomy along with all the agonizing and negative side effects.
In Sept 2018, the cancer metastasized to her liver. She then began by-weekly chemotherapy and also started alternative treatments trying to put all chances in her favour. This meant driving to Sudbury 4 times a week. In February 2019, the cancer had spread to her bones and lungs. In March 2019, conventional treatments had run their course and no longer seemed to be working. Determined to live, France will be undergoing alternative treatments at the CMN Hospital in Mexico.
She hopes to show us all that there are more than conventional ways to beat cancer and heal her body. France has been through SO much and now she needs our help. She needs to breathe in the amazing love and energy sent her way. France has always put everyone first, now let’s put her first!
