We are still at a lost from the tragic news that a gunman-opened fire 2 a.m. at Orlando's Pulse Nightclub leaving 49 people dead and 50 plus others injured. With heartbroken and heavy hearts, a unique, upbeat, and impacting friend lost his life hours after receiving his Master’s degree. Such a senseless violence has once again destroyed lives in our country.

(Left to Right): Alex, Aden, Javad, and Fred were celebrating their friend’s graduation from Keller University June 11, 2016 at the Orlando Convention Center. Little did they know their joyous weekend would turn into an unbelievable nightmare. After leaving the family gathering and celebration for their friend, Darryl “DJ” Burt, the five friends went out to celebrate at Club Pulse. With much sadness for the senseless act, DJ was among one of the 49 victims. Fred was injured with two bullets that struck him severely in the him and arm as he escaped, while Alex, Aden, and Javad were left for over 3hr trapped inside the club. After 5a.m., the SWAT team rescued Alex, Aden, and Javad.
