Oregon Helping Campfire Victims

Donation protected
Do you have anything you can donate to the Camp Fire in California? I would ideally like to get enough supplies to fill a truck to take down there, but anything helps. I have more than will go in my SUV and am raising money to take these supplies down to my uncle's church, Chico Community Church. Anything above the cost to get the supplies will go directly to purchasing supplies. I am keeping a spreadsheet and receipts for monies and will share with any donor who would like to see.

In 1 just a few hours, a whole town was gone. The fire is now 111,000 acres. My aunt had to evacuate, she was one of the lucky ones and got to go back home. My cousins also evacuated and are not back home yet. So many people weren't that lucky. If you woke up tomorrow and your town was gone by lunch, what would you do?

My thought is I am teaching my kids through this to get involved teach a lesson on humanity and giving. A lesson that not many kiddos are taught these days. They had me email their principal and ask about a stuffed animal drive at their school for the kids who lost everything. So this week we are also accepting stuffed animals. I would love to give every single child a stuffed animal.

Anything really will help and on behalf of the victims of the Camp Fire, thank you so very much! I set the privacy to public so please share.

I have raised $90 so far. $50 in a facebook page donation and $40 in a gift card to purchase supplies. I only need $200 for gas, anything else will go directly to supplies and victims of the campfire. While down there my kids and I will be serving the community however we can. Passing out supplies, serving meals, helping organize donations. Whatever we can do to help.

I have a facebook page set up for people wanting to donate items. I live in St Helens  Oregon and am blessed to live in a community that is compassionate. My heart is filled with gratitude and my eyes get a little drippy just thinking about the generosity of strangers willing to help people out. There is no greater feeling than serving the Lord by helping a community who lost everything.

Thank you and God Bless!
