Ora the blind cat is sick

Oracle has been my loving blind, black cat since she was 6 months old, about 8 months ago. In the last few weeks, she has gone from starting to act strangely to full-on fumbling when she walks or tries to run. Similar things happen when she tries to get into the litter box or climb onto the bed. It pains me and my girlfriend, who both think she is extremely sweet and the best cat in the world, to see her suffer like this. We were finally able to take her to the vet on tuesday after waiting some time to hear back from the particular vet's office and they told us that based on the neurological tests, something is wrong with her brain. Some kind of infection or parasite. We started to treat her for toxoplasmosis but some aspects of her health seemed to get even worse after that so we've since stopped that. We don't know what the vet bills will add up to in total, from tests to medications(even medications that might not work, like the one we have tried so far), but we would like to ask for any assistance anyone can offer with this amount and to see where that leads us. Other than that we just hope you are willing to offer help to a cat that had a rough beginning as a kitten, is blind but normally gets around fine, and who is now posed with a disease that severely impairs her motor control.
