Ophelia Rose

Ophelia recently had a few episodes of collapsing, starting early Saturday the 28th. We went for our walk that evening and didn’t even make it three minutes before she collapsed again. My heart sank. We went to an emergency vet where we were told she had a growth on her spleen and had abdominal bleeding. I stayed up with her all night Saturday to make sure nothing bad happened. Well Sunday we let her outside and as we were trying to figure out where we were taking her she collapsed yet again. I was referred to the Animal ER in Littleton, co where they started with an ultrasound, and good news, no emergency surgery needed. Well the good news didn’t last. We found out shortly after that Ophelia is anemic, but they don’t know the cause. Her red blood cell count has been dropping. She had to stay in the hospital over night to be monitored by a very wonderful team. Today, Monday the 30th, we are still searching for more answers... all the doctors are confused as to what could be causing this... everything seems normal, except the fact her levels are low and she keeps collapsing. We are looking at a pretty extensive vet bill. We’ve already had to pay almost $2,000 and it sounds like we’ve got a longer road ahead of us. Please find it in your hearts to donate a few dollars to save Ophelia. 

Anyone who who knows her mama, Emily, knows Ophelia is her child. Ophelia means everything to her parents and all of her friends. Ophelia has a lot of support and we are just hoping you can help her stay in our lives and get the best help she can possibly get!
